Heyo, Nik here!

Are you still on the fence about Thursday's Augmented Reading training? Perhaps you really dislike AI, think it's too expensive, or it's not clear to you what we'll actually cover. No worries! Let's talk.

First, thank you for considering signing up! I never take it for granted when you spend your hard-earned money with me.

And second, here are answers to some of the most pressing questions you might have floating around in your mind right now:

1. $149 feels like a lot of money. Will it be worth it?

Have you ever had someone show up at your company and deliver a training to your team or the entire staff? If so, chances are it cost somewhere between $1,000 and $10,000, depending on the duration.

Specialized skills are hard to attain and even harder to teach. That's why good training is expensive. And "reading more effectively by using AI" is about as specialized (and novel!) a skill as it gets.

Michael has built several multi-million dollar businesses. He usually charges $5,000 and more for his long-form courses. The only reason he's offering his valuable time at this rate is to do me—and thus you—a favor.

I almost don't want you to do the math. At 2 hours for the both of us, you're paying each of us $37/hr. In Germany, that's less than a plumber would take for fixing your toilet—except upgrading your reading pays dividends for a lifetime.

Plus, since you get the full recording and all the bonuses, it's like you're getting life-long access to a 2-hour Augmented Reading course—and that in and of itself would easily be worth $149, if you ask me.

And finally, if you really feel like you didn't learn anything, you can simply tell us why afterwards, and we'll refund your money. I want anything I do to have a money-back guarantee, and I'll stand by that.

2. I really don't like AI. I don't think it'll do anything for me.

Good! That means you didn't drink the Kool-Aid like so many others who think AI will magically solve everything tomorrow. It won't—but that doesn't mean it won't be of great use to us in the future.

I, too, am a big AI skeptic. Heck, as a writer (and one of book summaries, of all things), so far I've lost far more than I've gained from it!

But AI is here to stay, and I know avoiding it completely won't make me smart or special. It'll just mean that, one day, I'll be left behind. So I've decided to keep an open mind and continue experimenting with it here and there.

Don't get me wrong. There are absolutely times when you should read without AI. Whenever you read for fun, for example. Novels, short stories, there's no point in running these through AI (unless you want to learn more about them after you're done reading them!).

The same with nonfiction books from your favorite authors or certain chapters you just want to digest in full. Go for it! Read them! But then afterwards, AI can still help you digest them better, process them faster, and get more out of them.

I'll share a bit more about why even a skeptic like me is bullish on AI improving our reading tomorrow, but if you're in doubt, the best thing I can say is: Keep an open mind. Join the workshop, and if you absolutely hate it, you can always get your money back.

3. What exactly are we going to cover?

Since Michael will be leading the training, I don't want to speak too much for him. I know he's always looking for ways to improve his habits and ideas.

Michael has worked on Augmented Reading for more than 1.5 years. Chances are, he'll have some new, updated skills to share with us on Thursday.

But the following are the basics, and I'm confident we'll cover all of them:

  • How to practice "fractal reading," which helps you better select the sources you read and feed into your personal librarian AI
  • A step-by-step tutorial on creating your first custom (ChatGPT) AI bot with your own files (including links and images)
  • A walkthrough of Michael's actual, personal bot so you can get a feel for what you might want your AI to look like (including access to it)
  • A detailed ChatGPT prompt that will help you get embodied understanding of any book or academic study rather than just an intellectual understanding
  • A tutorial on using voice chat with ChatGPT so you can talk to it while driving or walking

Equipped with this knowledge, you'll be able to apply Augmented Reading to anything you read!

4. Do I need to already be an AI user to understand what we'll learn in the workshop?

Nope. Even if you're a total beginner, following the instructions will be easy, and you'll understand everything you need to know as part of the training.

5. What bonuses am I getting?

In a nutshell: Well-written or recorded documentation of everything that happens in the training so you can reference all the material indefinitely. It'll be like getting access to an online course that you can keep forever and revisit whenever you forget something.

You'll get...

  • A full recording of the event ($149 value)
  • An also recorded Q&A session at the end with me and Michael ($99 value)
  • A written, step-by-step tutorial on creating your own custom AI librarian ($199 value)
  • A detailed custom prompt for even deeper learning ($49 value)
  • Access to Michael's personal, exclusive AI learning bot which took him many hours to create ($299 value)
  • A tutorial on using ChatGPT voice for doing Augmented Reading on the go or in audio wherever you are ($49 value)

If I'm counting right, that's over $800 in bonuses for a $149 training. Not too shabby, if you ask me!

Count down to 2025-05-29T15:00:00.000Z

There's a little over one day left to make up your mind. I hope this little FAQ has helped you, and if you have any more questions, just hit reply.

Otherwise, if you're as excited for the training as we are, just click the button above, complete the checkout, and secure your spot.

Thank you, and I can't wait to see you on Thursday!

Happy reading,
-Nik
