| Hey hey, it's Nik with 3 awesome book summaries for you. This week, our feature title is one of my favorite books EVER: Striking Thoughts by Bruce Lee (edited by John Little). Bruce Lee lived a short but remarkable life, and while everyone knows him as this martial arts icon, he was actually also a philosopher and ever-curious learner. Striking Thoughts is a collection of over 800 notes, aphorisms, and ideas written down by Bruce Lee throughout his life, grouped into various categories, from the universe, time, and existence to life, relationships, and creativity to zen, success, and death. In it, you'll find highlights such as: "We have more faith in what we imitate than in what we originate." "Independent inquiry is needed in your search for truth, not dependence on anyone else's view or a mere book." And of course: "Be water, my friend." While the book is basically a collection of quotes, as a die-hard Bruce Lee fan, I've been able to extract 3 big-picture lessons from Bruce's life and best ideas overall. I'll explain all of them in today's video summary:
