| Hello hello, Nik here! I'm about to board a plane to Japan, but not before sharing 3 cool book summaries with you for your weekend reads! Our featured title is a bit controversial, but I found it very useful: Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus by John Gray The core idea of this book is simple: Men and women think and behave differently in the same situation. The book is from 1992, so keep that in mind. Some ideas might feel a bit outdated, but at its core, I believe it's still relevant. And there are always exceptions to every rule, of course. In any case, whether you believe Gray's ideas apply very strictly or not, I personally found it helpful to even just imagine how someone might see the world IF what Gray describes is their point of view. Some things I've also just found to be true after 34 years of living on this planet. For example that men tend to present solutions to problems and focus on those whereas women might, at least initially, be more looking for someone to listen to them rather than rattle off plans of action. Not everything from Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus is for everyone—but there's something useful in it for anyone, I would say. See what you can learn! Here's what you'll learn in today's video:
