| Hello there! It's Nik with your usual dose of great books for the weekend. Before we get into that, however, I do have an announcement: On Thursday, May 29th, at 11 AM EST, my friend Michael Simmons and I will host a training to improve your reading forever using the power of AI. Michael is one of the world's top experts on AI, and probably the #1 person in the world when it comes to using AI to increase your speed of learning. In the workshop, he'll share his Augmented Reading system, which will allow you to not just get better at filtering what you read and extracting relevant information faster but also to build more context around what you read for a more complete understanding. It's wild what you can do with a little bit of technology thrown into the mix. If you'd like to learn more, join the training (it's $149 for 2 hours), and get $800 in free bonuses, you can do all of that here. Alright, let's get into this week's books! The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale You've heard it a million times: "Think positive!" But how? And why? And where did that whole notion come from? One reason why the idea has become so popular and persistent is this book. Norman Vincent Peale was an American minister, author, and widely recognized motivational speaker in the 20th century. First published in 1952, The Power of Positive Thinking has sold over 5 million copies to date. It combines a Christian perspective with a real-world approach to positive psychology. But Peale wasn't a scientist. Many experts disregarded his ideas. His book received both lots of favorable and critical reviews. But it definitely left a mark. Peale himself seems to have been living proof: He died at the age of 95 on Christmas Eve, 1993, after living a long and by any measure successful life. He also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom. The book will show you how to shrink your worries, grow your confidence, and approach any situation in life with a positive outlook. Here's what you'll learn in today's video:
If you want to become an optimist, worry less, and think positive in all you do, watch this video. Not your cup of read? Here are 2 other titles you might enjoy:
That's all for this one. Have a great weekend! Happy reading, PS: If you want to 10x your reading skill thanks to the power of AI, check out the Augmented Reading training my friend Michael Simmons and I will host live on May 29th at 11 AM EST. You can learn more and sign up here. |
