The Financial Diet by Chelsea FaganI admire influencers who do 2 things:
Chelsea Fagan is a great example of both. Chelsea grow up in a low-income neighborhood in North Carolina. She didn't feel poor despite second-hand clothes. That changed when her family moved to Annapolis, Maryland. In this new, much richer environment, she suddenly felt inadequate. Chelsea developed bad spending habits (especially around fashion and clothes), and for most of her 20s, she struggled with crippling debt. Working hard to become a writer, she eventually used the advance of her first publishing deal to start putting things in order. Then, she slowly built up from there. Nowadays, Chelsea runs a popular blog and Youtube channel, both also called The Financial Diet. But instead of showing off Ferraris and dollar stacks, she sits on her couch and talks about how she got rid of exotic plants she didn't need. It's refreshing—and so is her book.
