Is this the most awkward way to announce a product ever? Probably. But I trust you.  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Hey! It's Nik.

You know what's crazy? Money is not a person, and yet it can break your neck. Little in life feels as violent as being thrown around by money issues. Trust me, I would know.

In 2020, my business made $300,000 in revenue. This year, it'll probably make less than $80,000. After the big COVID online boom, it all came crashing down—and then Google's "Helpful Content Update," or HCU, decided to kick a man who was already lying on the ground. More like ICU, huh?

But wait, it gets funnier: Over the last 2 weeks, the tax office has sent me bills for 50,000 € in taxes. Turns out they forgot a whooooole bunch of stuff going back all the way to 2019, 2020, and 2021, and they just feel like collecting it all now in one go. Whoops! Pay up, please!

So, if you've ever felt that numb pain, that draw of paranoia and anxiety rising slowly in the back of your head about where the money for this bill or that one is going to come from, believe me when I say: I feel you. And I feel for you. It's enough to make grown men cry at times.

Needless to say, I haven't slept too well the last few weeks. But so far, I haven't thrown up. And I haven't given up either. Earlier today, I got the latest letters asking me for an aircraft carrier full of money, and even though the news hit me like a ship just about that size, I didn't pass out.

I read the letters. I talked to my tax consultant. And then I went for a walk. I came back, did some math, and now, I'm writing this email.

How can I stay relatively calm when shit is literally hitting the fan in all directions? Well, several reasons. For one, I still have a roof over my head and am not at war, so there's some perspective. For another, I have a girlfriend and family who loves me. And friends who support me. So I'm not alone.

But most of all, I have something else: I have savings, and I have investments. And even though I always raise all hell to not have to sell any of the latter, I know that if push comes to shove, I can cash in on some stuff to handle almost any problem (please don't shove me, Mr. Leininger from ze Finanzamt).

I've worked my ass off for the last 10 years to get into this position. And even though it stinks to even have to think about losing some of it, for anyone who's as conservative, paranoid, and cautious about it as I am, the truth is undeniable: A certain amount of money in the bank will make you feel calmer than even the best meditation habit (which I've also done every day for the last 5 years, by the way—it sure does help!).

Now, I wish I could give you a better example for what I'm about to show you. I wish I could tell you a cooler story. But I can't. I can only tell you the real story that's happening right now—but I hope it's enough to make you consider what else I have to say.

In 2021, I wrote my first book. It's called The 4 Minute Millionaire. I'm so proud of it. Yes, I chose a ballsy title, but everything in there is just rock solid, well-sourced, common (and uncommon) sense advice. Points like...

  • Live below your means
  • Define retirement for yourself
  • Pay yourself first, and...
  • Don't avoid risk, manage it

...all illuminated with amazing stories and easy-to-grasp examples.

The book is a collection of the very best lessons from 20 or so of the greatest finance books of all time. I'm so happy that, three years later, not only does the book still stand the test of time, but so do I. Even when I'm not doing too hot financially, I'm still living proof that the ideas from the book work. That's pretty badass, if you ask me.

So even though I haven't sold a bajillion copies of it, I'm still glad I wrote it. Actually, let's talk about that for a second. I once heard that a book needs to sell 10,000 copies before you can really tell whether it'll be a runaway hit. So far, I've sold around 3,000, and I've given away another 4,000. Will I ever get to the big 10k and find out? I don't know, but I believe one thing that's held the book back so far is the thing that simply holds everything back these days: The sheer amount of information we are bombarded with every single day.

We already had too much content in 2018. Don't get me started on 2020. And now? After AI? Forget about it. There are too many social media platforms to name, too many (even good) Substacks and newsletters to subscribe to, and god knows there are too many chatbots everywhere.

I already wrote The 4 Minute Millionaire with a modern audience in mind. I made bite-sized chapters. I added action items for each lesson. I even put its appeal right into the title! And yet, at the end of the day... a book is a book: If you don't get around to reading it, you'll never benefit from even the best of its kind.

Well, today, I'm happy to say that finally ends. I made something new, and I think it's a rather simple but elegant solution. Introducing: The 4 Minute Millionaire—The Email Course Edition!

I'm actually sorry it took me so long to make this. I knew this book would be a perfect fit for an email course from the start. Alas, here we finally are!

The premise of The 4 Minute Millionaire Email Course is simple:

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I'll send you one 4-minute lesson in text and audio.
You can read it, or you can listen to it.
And with every lesson, you'll get one action item, most of which you can also do in 4 minutes.

That's it.

That's it?!

That's it.

With these ideas in this format, you'll make real, tangible progress with your money in as little as 12 minutes per week—getting ever closer to that elusive phrase, "financial freedom," and at the very least make strides towards sleeping a little more peacefully at night, knowing you've done the best you can do.

Here's some of what you'll learn:

  • How your upbringing might subconsciously affect your income-generating strategies to this day
  • How to build an unshakeable belief in your financial future with a 100-year-old technique
  • Why retiring early ultimately comes down to just 2 steps
  • How to define retirement for yourself
  • Why you should never discount your ability to start small
  • A completely new, more inspiring way to look at paying off debt
  • How to make saving fun
  • How rich you should be at what age
  • 7 timeless investing formulas, including the "Magic" formula, the "Tenbagger," and the "Scuttlebutt"
  • 7 new asset classes the crowd hasn't discovered yet (and no, it's not just "crypto")

Best of all, because each lesson will be delivered to you automatically, at a set pace, and in a multi-media format, there'll be zero friction to actually get through all 44 lessons and take lots of action along the way.

You can read or listen to them right away on your phone no matter where you are. Standing in the bus. Lounging on your couch. Or in a quick, 4-minute break during work.

Plus, for once, your notifications might actually work in your favor! Each email is a set prompt to complete that lesson. You don't need to find the motivation first. You just react, and you're done.

I truly believe this email course format is fantastic for real learning and results. Here's everything you'll get when you buy The 4 Minute Millionaire Email Course:

  • 44 lessons, automagically delivered to your inbox every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • A 4-minute action item for each lesson
  • Amazing, human-narrated audio for every single lesson and action item
  • A cheat sheet of all the action items
  • A resource list with 26 amazing financial tools
  • A bonus list of the best finance books
  • A free, complete digital copy of The 4 Minute Millionaire (Ebook Version) in all common formats (including PDF, EPUB, for Apple, Kindle, etc.)

Okay, and how much is this whole shebang?

The 4 Minute Millionaire (Email Course Edition) costs $44.

That's $1 per lesson. Not too much of an investment to make into your financial future, is it?

There are also 2 more tiers for those who feel particularly inspired:

  • The Lifetime Member Tier is basically an upgrade to a Four Minute Books Lifetime Membership, which comes with 1,300+ book summaries in audio and text, useful ebooks, another full-length book, a 1-hour summary writing training, and a lot more.
  • The Ultimate Coaching Tier is mostly for those who really like the book, finance, and, I guess, me, and can afford it. That comes with a 1-hour call for us to chat about money and whatever else I might be able to help you with!

You can access all three right on the Gumroad checkout page.

Anyway, I'm not saying this course will make you a millionaire overnight. Clearly, as you saw, I still have plenty of work to do myself. But I do believe that all the tools you'll ever need to get there are in this course. And maybe more importantly, it'll show you that when it comes to your money, you have more power than you think—even when times are tough.

Do you want to develop a better money mindset? Finally build solid financial habits? Or even just get started on saving and investing some money? Whichever it is, if you can relate even a little bit to my story and have felt financial pain before, then I really made this course for you.

I hope you'll give it a try—and in any case, if you feel like sharing your thoughts, please do. My inbox is always open. Just hit respond.

Until next time...

Happy reading,
-Nik

PS: I'd like to do a "proper" launch with 3-4 emails or so about the course soon. I want to include even more goodies and bonuses. Anything in particular you'd be interested in?

For now, I just wanted to let you know that The 4 Minute Millionaire Email Course is live. Thank you for listening and supporting what I do!
