Automate Your Busywork by Aytekin Tank (sponsored)
Tank grew up in rural Turkey on a small olive farm. From a young age, he developed a love for systems. He helped his parents optimize the farm. Later, he studied in the US and became a programmer. In an effort to automate his first job, which he was bored with, he ended up building Jotform, a bootstrapped company that now helps over 20 million users accomplish countless tasks. This book is his manifesto. He'll show you how to automate everything from your calendar to your email and even your peace of mind. Our summary is full of great details and the clever thinking models behind Tank's process. It will help you have more time and be more productive. I highly recommend you take a look.
The Hero With a Thousand Faces recaps Joseph Campbell's life's work. After analyzing countless myths and stories, Campbell identified a universal structure most of them follow. It's called "The Hero's Journey."
In this book, Campbell explains how it works, why it works, and how you, too, can become the hero of your own life. It's a great book for creatives, storytellers, and writers, but also chock full of inspiration for everyday life.
If you want to unleash your creativity, master the art of storytelling, and feel inspired to be the hero of your personal journey, watch this video.

Here's my 30-second pitch
2-Minute Pep Talks is a collection of 67 jolts of inspiration for more hope, comfort, and love in any situation.
With more than two months of daily inspiration across five categories, 2-Minute Pep Talks will make you feel more comfortable in your own skin, remind you to love yourself enough to ask life for what you truly want, and provide you with the world's scarcest resource: hope.
Whether you're looking for a pick-me-up, new perspectives, or more fuel to accomplish your dreams — if you're ready to regain that light, passionate, optimistic feeling we all used to possess as children, this book is for you.
The book contains my best work from over 5 years of almost daily writing. You won't regret buying it (and if you do, even for a buck, you can still return it).
Here's what Sandra said about it:
Sandra: "These 67 pep talks are full of wisdom. They can empower you to believe in yourself. They can give you courage and motivation, and they can help you overcome your fear and obstacles. Each pep talk is a gift, and they have had a profound effect on me."
This book was so refreshing when it came out, and it still is today. Instead of falling in line with millions of other self-help books telling you how to fix your many faults, this one looks at your negative emotions, like stress, anger, and anxiety, and tells you what's good about them. It also shows you how things like happiness and mindfulness can sometimes get in our way. A very cool new perspective worth exploring.
Yup. Seems about right. Especially those 9% of "waiting for Hogwarts letter." I think for me, it's closer to 15% for that one (yes, even after all these years). π§πΌ♂️
That's it for today! Have a great weekend!
Happy reading, -Nik
