I'm sure you've heard of Audible. Fittingly owned by Amazon, the largest bookseller, Audible is the largest audiobook platform in the world.

They host over 600,000 audiobooks, podcasts, and originals. Over 100 million people use the service. They also offer one of the best deals on the web: A 30-day free trial combined with 1 credit to download any audiobook you want and keep it forever.

If you're already an Amazon Prime member, you'll even get 2 free audiobooks of choice! The 30-day-trial gets you unlimited access to their 11,000-piece catalog of Audible Plus titles, and the credit throws in another title from their near-infinite library on top.

Now, I'm fairly sure you've heard of Audible before, because it gets promoted all over Youtube and the web. The reason is that Audible also offers great terms for promoters: Every time we (or other affiliates) refer someone who starts a 30-day-trial, we'll get paid $5. That's wonderful, because it doesn't force you to buy anything, but it still allows us to make money and keep our business going. If you love it and keep the service, all the better! If not, you've gotten a free audiobook and at least learned something new from whatever titles you've listened to!

The reason I decided to let you know about it again is that, on top of our detailed review of the service, this week, I wanted to experiment with an improved coupon page.

I'll share more details in an upcoming Behind the Books email, but in essence, I'm tired of landing on coupon aggregation pages that are a.) full of ads and weird popups where the company already gets paid before you even manage to get the coupon and b.) list a million coupons, none of which actually work.

Why not just make a coupon page that's focused on one coupon, shows you what you'll get and how the checkout works, and even briefly explains and recaps the service, including some pricing math and reasons why you might want to use it in the first place? That's what I've attempted to put together here, just like with our Blinkist coupon page.
